Children's Camps

Summer Objectives:
Our endeavor at the Westminster City Recreation camps is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where children are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, games, sports, crafts, and trips.

We offer both a Tot Camp for ages 3-5 and a Summer Day Camp for ages 6-12.

Some of our Summer Day Camp field trips have included Port Discovery, Baltimore Orioles game, Magic Elm Skating Rink, Baugher's Orchard, Maryland Science Museum, Carroll County Farm Museum, plus many more fun and interesting places!

Our goal is to help children have fun, while learning fair play. Our hope is that each camper will develop a higher level of fitness as well as some lasting friendships.

A. Tot Camp-Now Offering 6 weeks!  $60 per week.
Tot Camp is held in the Babylon Community Building adjacent to 11 Longwell Avenue and is designed for young children to challenge their curiosity, creativity and to broaden their skills in group activities, crafts, circle games, and social situations. Mini field trips and guest speakers will also be scheduled throughout the summer.

• Ages: 3-5 years old (MUST BE POTTY TRAINED)
• Times: Monday-Friday (9-11:30am)

B. Day Camp - $115 per week, 9am-4pm (Additional $15 each, per week, per child for am and/or pm care-7 am-6pm)
Day Camp takes place at the Longwell Municipal Center and is designed for children to participate in a full day program. They will interact with one another during games, sports, crafts, field trips, swimming on Wednesdays at the Westminster Municipal Pool and a variety of other activities.

• Times: Monday-Friday (9am-4pm)
• Registration Information: FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN JANUARY 2012. Print out form, complete all information and then send completed form and check(s) payable to City of Westminster to:

ALL CAMPERS:

A $20.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION FOR EACH CHILD AND SESSION THAT IS ENROLLED.

Confirmation letters and field trip information will be sent to all campers at a later date. Before and after care available for an additional charge. Refunds will not be issued unless an approved substitute can be made. Refunds that are approved will be issued by mail. Program information is subject to change without notification. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks. Family Center Members Discount: $5.00 Off per week of camp.

Things to Remember...

• Wear play clothes (camp T-shirt)
• Sneakers (NO sandals or Flip Flops)
• Sunscreen
• Towels and swimsuits on pool day
• Water Bottle
• Packed lunch and drink (No refrigeration provided)
