S.C.O.R.E. Form

The Westminster Police Department S.C.O.R.E. Patrol is a volunteer organization established in 1996. S.C.O.R.E. members shall serve as unpaid volunteers in various non-criminal enforcement capacities, supportive of the regular patrol force and consistent with their demonstrated level of expertise, training, and the need of the Westminster Police Department. Volunteer members will be issued a unique uniform, which readily identifies them as a S.C.O.R.E. volunteer. Volunteers will not be armed, will have no arrest powers, and will not be commissioned as law enforcement officers. The intent of this program is to involve volunteers in police functions, to interest individuals in law enforcement whether they enter the career of policing or not. Through involvement, volunteers will establish an awareness of the complexities of police services.
