School Programs
Play it Safe (Kindergarten) (30 minutes)
This program is offered to Kindergartners to make them aware of the word "SAFE". The program teaches children about traffic safety by using a real traffic light in a classroom. They will learn about strangers, 911, and what to do if they should become lost.
Police Officers Are Your Friends (Pre-school) (20 minutes)
This program is offered to the pre-school level which teaches children about a police officers job and their responsibilities. The program stresses that police officers are your friends.
Tobacco Program (Second Grade) (30 minutes)
The Tobacco program is offered for all second grade level students. This program has a police officer instruct students about the importance of not smoking or breathing in secondhand smoke.
Safety Is Only A Click Away - Buckle Up! (Forth Grade) (1 hour)
This program is offered to the fourth grade level which teaches students how to properly buckle-up and the reasons for putting the safety belt on every time they get into a vehicle.
Tragedy Is Only A Drug Away-Say No To Drugs! (Forth Grade) (1 hour)
This program teaches fourth grade students about 4-5 various types of drugs which they may encounter at the elementary level of school. This program stresses the harmful effects of each drug and the reasons students should want to remain drug free
D.A.R.E. Program (Sixth Grade) (8 Hour Days for 4-5 weeks)
The D.A.R.E Program is a 9 lesson program which is taught to sixth graders in Carroll County. D.A.R.E. helps you resist pressures which may influence you to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalants, and other drugs. You also will be introduced to the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model that will assist you in problem solving and help you make wise decisions.
Substance Abuse Program (High School Grade Level) (3 Days)
This 3 day program gives High School Students an overview of alcohol and drugs. This interactive program allows students to think about their goals in life and to recognize who alcohol and drugs really affect.
