SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING PICKUP SCHEDULE
Solid Waste and Recycling Collection is provided by
B.F.I./Allied Waste Services (410 – 526 – 5149)

Monday (Route #1)
City households located west of Maryland Rt. 31, north of Uniontown Road,
and south of MD Rt. 140. Route #1 also includes King’s Choice and Carroll Meadows.
Tuesday (Route #2)
City households located east of Maryland Rt. 31 and west of Maryland Rt. 27,
including Ridge Terrace/Windsor Overlook. The Village of Meadow Creek is also served by Route #2. Households on Wynwood Drive are served by Route #5.
Wednesday (Route #5)
City households located in the area south of Tahoma Farm Road, west of MD
Route 31, and east of Bell Road. Also neighborhoods located along Meadow
Branch Road (Cliveden Reach and households located on Wynwood Drive).
Thursday (Route #3)
City households located west of Maryland Rt. 31, north of Tahoma Farm Road,
and south of Uniontown Road.
Friday (Route #4)
City households located east of Maryland Rt. 27 and south of Maryland Rt. 140.
COLLECTION AND PLACEMENT OF RECYCLABLES
Glass, plastic, and metal recyclables should be placed in recycling containers for
curbside pickup on the same day as your trash is scheduled to be picked up.
Recyclables placed in plastic bags will NOT be picked up.
Newspaper should be placed in brown paper bags or tied in bundles.
Cardboard must be flattened, bundled, and tied no bigger than 13" by 18".
Pizza boxes are NOT recyclable.
Additional recycling bins are available, or citizens may utilize their own large
containers for recycling as long as the container is open and clearly marked for
recyclables.
Yard waste is collected on Wednesdays from April 1 to November 1 between 7:30
a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Place yard waste in clear or transparent bags or containers no
larger than a bushel basket, with the lid removed. Sod is not considered yard waste.
Grass clippings can be recycled by leaving them on the lawn as natural fertilizer.
Grass clippings can also be included with yard waste.
