Welcome to the home page of the Department of Planning and Public Works. With an annual budget of over $15 million, Planning and Public Works is the City of Westminster’s largest department. The many highly qualified staff in our department are responsible for delivering a wide variety of basic and essential services to maintain the high quality of life we enjoy in Westminster. This includes everything from providing safe drinking water to street maintenance and snow removal to solid waste and recycling collection to comprehensive planning to housing and community development and to wastewater treatment, and even this list isn’t all inclusive.

As we move into the next century, the employees of the Department of Planning and Public Works will continue to strive to provide the best possible service to our number one customer, the citizens of Westminster, in a customer friendly approach.
