The City of Westminster Human Resources Office hereby announces the following job openings:




Child Care/Recreation Assistant
Recreation and Parks Department


$11.33/hour

35 hours/week

Primary job functions will be providing care for children in the child supervision area while parents are using the Family Center gym; planning and implementing safe and enjoyable games and activities; attending to the needs of infants and children, including feeding; organizing toys, and performing extensive cleaning of child care room at end of shift. Other responsibilities include operation of front desk to perform computer entry, accept payments, and process membership applications; supervision of the use of exercise equipment; cleaning and maintaining facility. Candidate must be willing to work evenings & weekends. High school diploma or G.E.D. and minimum 6 months child care experience or equivalent combination of training and experience; General knowledge of fitness concepts preferred; First Aid and CPR certified preferred, but training can be provided. Lateral Police Officer
Westminster Police Department


$38,563 - $40,911

Depending on Experience:

Applicants must hold a current Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission Certification OR hold a current law enforcement certification in another state commensurate with Maryland certification standards AND have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time (35+ hours per week) full service law enforcement experience.
