Do I need to submit an application, or can I just send my resume?

To apply for an advertised job opening, a City of Westminster job application form must be completed, signed, and received by the Human Resource Office by the posted deadline date. Resumes can be attached, and may be required for some positions.

You can turn your application in at the Human Resources Office at City Hall located at 1838 Emerald Hill Lane, Westminster MD, or you can fax it to 410-848-3954. If you fax it, additionally, you must mail your original application to us:

What if my application is received after the deadline?

No late applications are accepted. Applicants will be notified if their application is late and was not accepted.
If I mail my application, how will I know you've received it?

All applicants receive a post card confirming receipt of their application. If you would like to verify that your application was received prior to the deadline, you may call the Human Resources Office at 410-848-6043.
Once my application is received, will you contact me?

We will contact you if we wish to schedule an appointment for an interview. Otherwise, you will not receive any further correspondence regarding your application.
What is the job application process?

Applications will be accepted until 5:30pm on the advertising closing date. A Confirmation post card will be sent for applications that are received by the deadline. You will be contacted if you are selected for an interview. Applicants who are interviewed, but are not offered a position, will receive a letter notifying them that the position has been filled. The time that it takes to fill a position varies depending on the position.
Will you keep my application on file for other jobs that come available?

No applications will be kept on file. You must submit a completed application for all jobs you wish to apply for.
