Tourism and Special Events

Tourism plays a significant role in the economy of the City of Westminster, as the area is home to numerous popular tourist attractions and events. They include the historic downtown area of the City, McDaniel College, the Carroll County Farm Museum, seasonal farmers' markets and pick-your-own produce farms, Civil War sites, the summer training camp of the Baltimore Ravens and special events, such as the Maryland Wine Festival, Westminster Flower & Jazz Festival, Corbit's Charge and Westminster FallFest.

The Office of Economic Development promotes the City's tourist attractions and special events through public relations networks and cost-effective outreach campaigns.

The Office has established an excellent working relationship with the Carroll County Office of Tourism and its Visitor Center in terms of event promotions, literature distribution and cooperative advertising.

Check out Westminster's calendar of events to find out what is happening in 2007!
