MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

NOVEMBER 12, 2001

VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY

QUORUM:

A Meeting of The Mayor and Council was held in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 1838 Emerald Hill Lane, on the evening of November 12, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Dayhoff; Council President Halstad; Council Members Albert, Chiavacci, and Pecoraro; Department Heads Beyard, Dutterer and Joneckis; and City Attorney Walsh were present.

MINUTES:

The Minutes of the Meeting of October 22, 2001 were approved as presented, on Motion of Mrs. Albert, seconded by Mr. Pecoraro and duly passed.

REPORTS FROM MAYOR:

. . . read companion Proclamations declaring the month of November 2001 as National Hospice Month and National Home Care Month. The Proclamations were presented to representatives of the two organizations present at the meeting.

. . . read a letter to departing Town Planner, Katrina Tucker acknowledging her many accomplishments during her nine years of service to the City.

. . . noted that Administrator of Recreation Ronald Schroers was awarded the First Annual Canon Humanitarian Award, by the community Services Council.

. . . participated in the Veterans Day Ceremonies held in the Longwell Municipal Center on Sunday November 11, 2001.

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Public Safety:

Mr. Chiavacci advised of the continuing efforts to address the Police Department pension issue.
