Planning and Zoning Commission | The Westminster Planning and Zoning Commission provides advice on planning and zoning issues, and acts in a decision-making capacity with respect to site plans and subdivision plans. The Commission also educates the public, coordinates and cooperates with planning agencies in all aspects of planning issues, including the Comprehensive Plan and Capital Improvement Program. The Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. The members of the Commission must reside in the City and are appointed for five year terms, with the exception of the council member, who serves a term corresponding with the member’s official tenure on the Council. The Commission meets regularly in City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. The meetings are open to the public. |
